Job description:Become an integral part of our future Lean development of our production facility alongside our production team in Karlskrona
Are you looking for an opportunity to inspire, motivate, and implement change based on Lean principles? If you have prior experience and a strong interest in developing production processes according to these principles, this could be the right job for you! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to help improve and streamline operations at a company that plays a key role in our society’s green transition. Our production is growing, and we see a great need to improve and streamline our operations based on the fundamental principles of Lean, with a focus on optimizing and improving the entire production process. Develop, Motivate, and Engage As a Lean Developer at NKT, your leadership skills and ability to take initiative will be put to good use. The role involves initiating and implementing activities that increase our efficiency and reduce waste in our production. You will also play a key role in maintaining methods, tools, and training materials related to Lean, as well as conducting training sessions for production managers and operators. You will serve as an ambassador for continuous improvement and coach the rest of the organization in this effort. You will also act as a coordinator for equipment calibrations in production. This role is key to optimizing the supply chain and production in Karlskrona in terms of safety and quality, as well as achieving our goals for delivery accuracy, lead times, efficiency, and inventory levels. This role also serves as a natural driver and catalyst for the local implementation of Lean principles and activities within our main production process, MCA. You will work with a team on improvement initiatives in close collaboration with production managers, operators, technicians, and others. Your shared goal is to create lasting improvements in our three main areas of production: safety, quality, and delivery. You will implement changes with a team operating on a 5-shift schedule, which means that production continues even when you are not on site. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and take responsibility for the following, among other things: • Ensuring systematic work is conducted in accordance with NKT’s management systems for quality, the environment, and occupational health and safety • Working with clear standards for our workflow • Lean principles • Flow analyses • SMED analyses • Kaizen events • Value Stream Mapping • TPM/5S • Setting goals for areas of improvement, which are developed, visualized, and followed up on
Inspiring and committed leaderTo thrive and grow as a Lean Developer, you have prior experience leading staff and the ability to inspire and motivate entire teams as well as individual employees. You are skilled at handling challenges with a positive attitude and being attentive to suggestions from different individuals; goals must be clearly defined throughout the improvement process. In addition to the above, you have experience working with SAM (systematic workplace safety and health management) and have a genuine interest in quality and improvement initiatives. Your resume should also include the following: • College degree with a focus on engineering • Experience with or training in Lean practices • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English
