As a Machine Safety Specialist, you will be part of a department working with machine safety, technical documentation and work processes.
Supporting the projects in machine safety
As a Machinery Safety Specialist, you have a clear focus: to support or lead the work around the Machinery Directive in the design, purchase and modification of machinery. You will ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines, lead risk assessments, and ensure that documentation such as the EC declaration is drawn up correctly. All work is based on NKT's operational policy, with the goal of creating safe and sustainable solutions. In your day-to-day work as a machine safety specialist, you are involved in supporting our projects so that safety aspects are included from the start.
You are an important part of ensuring that our solutions are safe, smart and compliant.
Your main tasks:
- Interpret and clarify relevant directives, regulations and standards. Ensure that technical specifications can be used in practice to meet essential safety requirements.
- Contribute to the development or advice on the safety concept of the machine.
- Share your expertise and produce the documentation necessary to ensure that the design, function and construction of the machinery meet the requirements for CE marking
- Carry out risk assessments.
Structured and responsive team member
As a machine safety specialist, it is important that you are meticulous and structured when tackling your tasks. You have a pragmatic approach, while being humble in your communication and interaction with others. You like to cooperate and can perform tasks both independently and in teams. Your pedagogical skills enable you to explain complex issues in a clear and accessible way, which is valuable in maintaining a safe and well-functioning working environment.
In addition to the above, we want you to have the following:
- Technical background preferably in electrical, automation, mechatronics or HSE.
- Experience of control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Swedish and English in speech and writing.
Certification in CMSE, CECE and CEFS is meritorious. If you are not certified, we want you to have an interest in developing in the field.
