Job description:Would you like to work in maintenance within a technically advanced and growing business? As a maintenance technician at NKT, you will become part of our experienced maintenance team at the cable factory in Karlskrona. This role is crucial for ensuring stable and reliable production while contributing to the green transition through the manufacture of power cables for onshore and offshore projects. Here, you’ll find a role that offers variety, technical challenges, and collaboration in your day-to-day work.
Perform mechanical maintenance in an automated production environmentIn this role, you’ll be responsible for preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance in a modern, automated facility. The work includes both scheduled tasks and responses to operational disruptions, with a focus on safe operation, availability, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate daily with colleagues in maintenance and production and help identify areas for improvement in our machinery.
Responsibilities:• Perform planned, preventive, and corrective mechanical maintenance• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components in production equipment• Inspect machinery and identify areas for improvement• Contribute to high production availability
The work is conducted in 5 shifts with varying working hours, including day, night, and weekend shifts. The position is located at NKT’s cable factory in Verkö, Karlskrona, and you will report to the Manager Maintenance Mechanic.

You maintain a calm and methodical approach even under high workloads. As a person, you contribute to a positive work environment and are happy to share your knowledge. You communicate clearly and see the value of working together to solve technical challenges.
You also have:• Education in maintenance, workshop technology, or equivalent• Several years of experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting in a production environment• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
