Play a leading role in our dedicated production team and work in a state-of-the-art production environment in Karlskrona

Are you looking for an opportunity to inspire, motivate, and lead a team? If you have previous leadership experience—preferably in an industrial setting—and are motivated by leading people in production, this could be the right job for you. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a company that plays a central role in our society’s green transition. Our production is growing, and we now need to expand our team of production managers for our cable manufacturing division.

Develop, motivate, and engage

As a Production Manager at NKT, your leadership skills will be put to the test. You will lead a skilled team of operators who work on manufacturing our cable cores in the form of copper or aluminum conductors. You’ll ensure that our resources—including people, machinery, and materials—are utilized to their fullest potential. You’ll lead a team operating on a 5-shift schedule, which means production continues even when you’re not on site.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and will be responsible for the following, among other things:

  • Responsible for recruiting and developing staff. 
  • Ensuring the efficient use of resources—people, machinery, and materials.
  • Developing, monitoring, and updating investment and operating budgets. 
  • Visualizes and monitors the department’s goals, and breaks them down and develops them within the department.
  • Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and agreements.

Inspiring and committed leader

To achieve good results and thrive as a production manager, you have previous experience leading staff and the ability to engage and motivate employees. You are skilled at handling challenges with a positive attitude in a changing environment and are adept at providing feedback with a professional approach to interacting with different individuals.

As a leader, you are clear about goals and expectations and view development as the most important factor for sustainable results. You have an interest in technology and are eager to contribute to conversations and discussions.

In addition to the above, you have experience leading staff, have worked with SAM (systematic workplace health and safety management), and have a genuine interest in quality and improvement initiatives.

Your resume should include the following:

  • High school diploma with a focus on technology or equivalent
  • Experience in personnel management,  in the manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus
  • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English
