Job Description:Create clear technical documentation for safer production Would you like to take a leading role in developing technical documentation where technology, safety, and clear communication come together? As a Technical Writer at NKT, you’ll have broad responsibility for ensuring that technical information is accurate, accessible, and useful for production. You’ll become a key knowledge expert at the intersection of technology, machine safety, and regulatory compliance, and help create work processes and documentation that support safe, efficient, and growing production.

Develop technical documentation for quality and safety As a Technical Writer, you’ll be responsible for creating, updating, and refining technical documentation for production operations. This role is central to ensuring that operator instructions, safety instructions, user manuals, and other technical documentation meet requirements for HSE, quality, and machine safety. You play a key role in information gathering, review, and approval processes and serve as a vital link between production, technical specialists, and projects. With your experience, you will also help develop work methods, improve the quality of documentation, and ensure that the documentation complies with applicable legal requirements. Your main responsibilities: • Create and update operator instructions through information gathering, interviews, and reviews • Develop and maintain user manuals in accordance with the Machinery Directive • Participate in investment projects and change initiatives related to machinery and equipment • Ensure that technical documentation is delivered according to project schedules • Contribute to compliance with HSE, quality, and relevant legal requirements You will work closely with production and various internal stakeholders. The position is based in Karlskrona within the Technical Documentation - Operational Excellence and Investments department. Structured communicator with an interest in technology We are looking for someone with experience in technical documentation in a technically complex environment who enjoys taking responsibility for content, structure, and quality. You are accustomed to gathering information from different parts of the business, translating technical content into clear instructions, and tailoring communication to different audiences.
You need to be confident in driving issues forward, collaborating with both operators and technical specialists, and contributing to the structure and improvement of documentation work. You are meticulous, solution-oriented, and motivated by creating documentation that makes a difference in safety, efficiency, and quality in production.
