For our Automation and Projects department, within Production Development, we are now looking for an automation engineer who will have a focus on developing our camera and vision system. You will work in a project-based business that develops automation solutions for our high-tech and unique production of high-voltage cables. Work with our camera and vision system and develop solutions for automation in a collaborative team
We are committed to updating production with the latest technology and developing innovative automation systems for our cable production. In Automation and Projects, in addition to electrical and automation solutions, we also work on process development, SCADA applications, connection to higher-level systems and sub-project management. Before automation solutions are implemented in production, we have a lab where our employees can test and quality assure their solutions.
Your main tasks will be:
* Develop our camera and vision system in different applications.
* Developing small and large automation solutions in project form, including hardware and software selection
* Programming of systems on machines and production equipment
* Reviewing and validating automation solutions both on new machines and when rebuilding existing machines
* Participate in costing and quotation work for automation projects
* Responsible for the management of sub-projects
* Line support for production
As an automation engineer, you will be an important part of the team at Automation and Projects, within Production Development, consisting of several employees who are largely experienced engineers with mixed skills and experience in electrical design and automation. Our team is characterized by collaboration, good communication and an openness to discuss solutions.
We focus on future needs, technical development and long-term improvements.
Emergency and daily maintenance is handled by the maintenance department, with whom we collaborate.
We place great emphasis on skills development and offer our employees the opportunity to participate in external training courses with our partners and system suppliers, all to increase both the individual and the organization's technical knowledge. We offer a varied and stimulating work environment. To work well in the role, you need to be on site in Karlskrona.
Experience in camera and vision systems and a collaborative personality
We are looking for you who want to work in project form and you appreciate varied tasks. To thrive and do a good job in this work, commitment and motivation are required. You work in a systematic way, are professional and cooperate well with your colleagues.
You also have:
* Technical education from university, college or vocational training
* Experience with camera and vision systems
* Experience in programming
* Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and in writing
