We have an opening at Landsbylegene Dokka and are offering a full-time (100%) permanent position for a biomedical engineer, with additional responsibility for the laboratory. Working hours will be during the day, Monday through Friday.

Landsbylegene Dokka is a medical center with 7 doctors, including LIS1, and 6 medical secretaries. We have a high volume of patients and are seeking a competent and dedicated biomedical engineer for this position.

We are primarily looking for someone to work in the lab, but it is also desirable that the candidate be able to rotate through the other workstations: switchboard, reception, and possibly the emergency room. Experience in laboratory work and/or emergency medicine is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Independent laboratory tasks.
• Blood sample collection, specimen processing, and shipping.
• Quality control procedures and monitoring of equipment.
• Receiving patients at the front desk and by phone.
• Close collaboration with doctors and other staff.

We are looking for an employee who has additional expertise in the laboratory but who can also rotate through the other workstations. This includes the reception desk, telephone duties, and, if necessary, the emergency room.

We use Infodoc as our medical records system.

Qualification Requirements

• Norwegian licensure as a biomedical engineer.
• Preferably with continuing education or advanced training in relevant fields.
• Experience in laboratory work and/or a doctor’s office is desirable.
• You must have a good command of Norwegian, both spoken and written.
