A permanent nursing position is available in Ward 1 at the Landmo Care and Rehabilitation Center in Nordre Land Municipality. The position can be 80–100% depending on needs and preferences, and involves a two-part shift schedule with work every third weekend.
The role of nurse involves ensuring that patients receive high-quality, professionally sound nursing care in a secure unit for patients with various cognitive and somatic challenges. The focus is on public health, prevention, rehabilitation, and palliative care, with the position’s purpose being to promote and restore health and prevent illness and suffering. Furthermore, the position involves environmental care tailored to patients with dementia and cognitive impairment, where mastering daily life is promoted as a mindset to give patients a sense of mastery and the opportunity to be as self-reliant as possible.
It is important that the person who takes on this position helps maintain a strong sense of community and a positive work environment in the department, where we collaborate and support one another.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that the service complies with legislation, policy decisions, and municipal regulations.
- Be responsible for your own professional practice, based on professional ethical guidelines, and ensure that the service is provided in accordance with the service area’s objectives, guidelines, and procedures.
- Documentation.
- Lead physician visits and medical follow-up care.
- Serve as the primary contact for one or more residents.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Share responsibility for ensuring that resources are managed prudently.
- Training, professional development, and skill enhancement in collaboration with others.
- Supervisory responsibility for students in nursing and social care.
- On-call duties beyond one’s own department.
Qualifications
- Norwegian-licensed nurse.
- Experience in dementia, geriatrics, or psychiatry is preferred.
- Experience from TKH or HAVA is preferred.
- You must have a good command of Norwegian, both spoken and written.
