We are looking for on-call temporary staff to serve as support staff at our medical offices.

The support staff will work at various workstations within the medical office, assist one another, and support the primary care physicians as needed. Support staff must be proficient in all tasks at the primary care clinic, as responsibilities rotate among the staff. There is a positive work environment at the primary care clinics. Work hours will be during the day and vary from Monday to Friday as needed. You will receive training at both Landsbylegene Dokka and Torpa Legekontor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls with empathy, professionalism, and high-quality service.
  • Perform various procedures as ordered by the general practitioner (ECG, spirometry, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, wound care, etc.).
  • Laboratory work, blood draws, analyses, etc.
  • Assist the general practitioners as needed.
  • Documentation in InfoDoc.

Qualification Requirements

  • Norwegian license as a medical secretary, healthcare assistant, nurse, or biomedical engineer.
  • Experience from a general practitioner’s office is preferred.
  • You must have a good command of Norwegian, both spoken and written.

Employment Terms:

A written employment contract as an on-call substitute will be entered into for those who are approved as substitutes. The contract does not entail any right to assignments from the employer, and the employee may also decline offered shifts. Work assignments are carried out on an on-call basis as needed, with varying work hours and work locations, and in accordance with the agreement in each individual case. Please note that this applies ONLY to occasional shifts (on-call shifts).

The following applies to this position:

  • Landsbylegene uses the Infodoc Plenario medical records system
  • Diplomas and certificates should not be mailed but must be brought to any interview
  • Terms of employment are in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements
  • A police clearance certificate is required, cf. Section 5-4 of the Health and Care Services Act, and a self-declaration regarding MRSA must be submitted prior to starting the position
  • The Health and Care Services Act, the Health Personnel Act, the Patient and User Rights Act, and other laws and regulations governing the work of health personnel apply to the person hired
