Landmo Care and Rehabilitation Center is looking for an interested, committed and professionally confident doctor for a permanent 100% position as a nursing home doctor.

Landmo is the municipality's nursing home and consists of three departments: two long-term departments and one rehabilitation department with municipal acute inpatient beds (KAD). In the same building, there is a GP office with six GP homes and one LIS1 doctor. The municipality also has a GP's office in Torpa with three GPs and one LIS1 doctor. The nursing home has a high level of professional expertise, skilled staff and well-established routines and procedures. There is close and well-functioning cooperation with the home care service, GPs, allocation and coordination and other health and care services.

The municipality is a registered training organization for general medicine and has approved supervisors for ALIS doctors among the GPs. The general education plan is available on the municipality's website.

The nursing home has a total of 65 places:

  • 27 long-term places
  • 18 long-term places for people with dementia/cognitive impairment
  • 20 rehabilitation places/short-term places
  • 2 KAD places

About the position

As a nursing home doctor at Landmo, you have overall medical responsibility for patients who are admitted to the institutional places. The position is during the day on weekdays, with a 37.5-hour working week.

Tasks

Medical responsibility and patient follow-up

  • Medical responsibility for the medical service, including visits, diagnostics, treatment and continuous follow-up of patients
  • , regulations and professional guidelines

Interdisciplinary cooperation and interaction

  • Participation in interdisciplinary meetings and treatment planning
  • Conducting interviews with relatives when necessary
  • Collaboration with health personnel in the departments, GPs, municipal health and care services and the specialist health service

Veiledning, teaching and competence sharing

  • Guiding and teaching colleagues and other healthcare professionals
  • Information and advice to patients and relatives
  • Contributing to internal training and professional development in the company

Professional development and quality improvement

  • Active participation in professional development and quality improvement work
  • Implementation and follow-up of procedures and professional standards
  • Be a clear driving force for knowledge-based practice

Patient safety, quality and service development

  • Contribute to ensuring that patient safety and the quality of medical services are safeguarded in line with applicable laws and regulations; including "Regulations on management and quality improvement in health and care services."
  • Contribute to the development of competence, structure and content of the service

Qualifications

  • Completed LIS1/rotation and Norwegian authorization as a doctor
  • Specialist in general medicine, geriatrics or other relevant specialization or in the course of specialization, cf. Regulations on competence requirements for doctors in the municipal health and care service
  • Experience in geriatrics, internal medicine/palliation and/or general medicine is an advantage
  • Good oral and written presentation skills in Norwegian (minimum B2)
  • A valid police certificate must be presented before starting
  • Norwegian work and residence permit
