An 80% temporary position as a nurse is available in the Home Care Service in Nordre Land Municipality. Start date to be agreed upon; the position will last until fall 2027. The position involves a two-part shift schedule with work every third weekend.

The Home Care Service aims to help as many people as possible live in their own homes for as long as possible, with a focus on quality of life and managing daily activities independently. The need for assistance varies and ranges from personal safety alarms to the need for advanced nursing care and medical assistance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the professional practice of the discipline. This is based on professional ethical guidelines and legislation, and ensures that the service is provided in accordance with the municipality’s objectives, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and advice to service recipients, family members, and colleagues.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Sharing responsibility for the prudent management of resources.
  • Training, professional development, and skill enhancement in collaboration with others.
  • The position involves driving a municipal vehicle on scheduled routes, but may also include administrative shifts and shifts at a care center.

Qualifications

  • Norwegian nursing license.
  • Preferably with continuing education or advanced training in relevant fields.
  • Experience working in home care services is desirable.
  • You must have a good command of Norwegian, both spoken and written.
  • You must hold a Class B driver’s license.
