We have 2 permanent positions available as care workers in Nordre Land Municipality, where the work takes place in the service recipient’s private home. The positions are 49.3% and 80% of full-time, respectively.

The service is part of the Community Care Service and Home Care Services, where you will work alone on shifts but as part of a team supporting the service recipient. The purpose of the service and the position is to provide care, health assistance, and practical support in collaboration with the service recipient in a professional manner.

Client participation and care are central themes of the job. In this position, you will perform various tasks in a professional manner, in collaboration with service recipients and in accordance with their wishes and needs.

Information about the two positions:

Position 1:

Permanent 49.3% position as a care worker, with start date to be agreed upon. The position involves night shifts and work every third weekend.

Position 2:

Permanent 80% position as a care worker, with a start date to be agreed upon. The position involves working day and evening shifts, with work every third weekend.

Job Responsibilities

  • Targeted environmental care.
  • Practical assistance/training.
  • Health care; performing basic nursing tasks.
  • Guidance.
  • Ensuring resident participation.
  • Communication via communication board/computer.
  • Accompanying residents to treatments and examinations.
  • Accompanying clients on activities and outings.

Qualifications

  • Basic course in medication management with a passing grade.
  • Experience with goal-oriented environmental support.
  • Experience with the Garcia and Mobil Pleie systems.
  • Ethical competence.
  • Class B driver’s license required; must be able to drive a large vehicle.
