In Accountability, we work with some of the most important solutions in Norsk Tipping. These are the systems that ensure that we deliver on our social mission. We will create a safe and responsible gaming offer, even when the load is high and the requirements for quality are strict.

We develop solutions that analyze player behavior, identify risks and influence the user experience in real time. What we build is used by millions of customers every week, and has a direct impact on how Norsk Tipping is perceived.

Product area and solutions

Responsibility is in many ways the compass of Norsk Tipping. This is where we develop solutions that are world-leading in terms of responsibility. In practice, it's about creating insight into player behavior, preventing unfortunate gaming and developing safe customer experiences.

With around 2.5 million customers and up to 1.6 million active at the same time, there are high demands on quality, robustness and performance, and on how we build and improve the solutions over time.

You will work with systems such as:

• analyze player data in real time using machine learning (cloud/serverless)
• manage proactive communication based on risk (Java/Kotlin, Kafka, event-driven)
• manage marketing in line with accountability requirements

In addition, we develop solutions for, among other things, loss limits, game breaks, exclusion and game accounting.

What we're working on now

We're in a phase where we're both further developing existing solutions and improving how we work. We are working on better monitoring and insight into our solutions (e.g. via Splunk), increasing the quality and robustness of the systems, further developing event-driven solutions on a large scale and migrating and re-architecting older solutions.

Not everything is fully rigged, nor is that the goal. We want people who want to help improve how we build our solutions, not just use what's already there.

KI in practice

We're already using machine learning in production, and we're at the forefront of using AI in our development work. We are actively working to integrate AI tools into the teams - both to improve quality, speed and the way we develop.

This is a rapidly evolving area where we test, learn and adjust along the way. Here you will have a real impact on how AI is used both in our solutions and in everyday development.

What you will work with

As a senior developer, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of team leader, tech lead, developers, UX, data/analytics and business resources who together are responsible for the entire value chain.

You will among other things:

• develop and further develop solutions - from design choices to implementation
• design and build new solutions - from code to architecture
• make active technical choices and help set the direction
• work with quality, security and robustness in the systems
• further develop CI/CD, DevOps and work methodology
• contribute to learning and development in the team

What we are looking for

We are looking for you who have experience of system development and complex solutions, and who are comfortable taking responsibility even when the solution is not obvious. You thrive in teams, contribute to good collaboration and are committed to making those around you better.

You share expertise and actively contribute to developing both our solutions and the way we work. Experience with technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Rust or Python is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Where you start and where you can develop
You will be employed as a senior developer in Norsk Tipping, and will initially work in the product area Accountability. At the same time, we work in a product-oriented organization where skills and needs evolve over time. This means that you may eventually have the opportunity to contribute to other parts of the Technology department, depending on both your interests and the needs of the business.

Finally

As mentioned, this is a product area that is absolutely central to Norsk Tipping. As our tech lead says:
"If we go down, Norsk Tipping goes down."
That may be a bit of a mouthful, but it says something about how important this actually is.
