We are now looking for a System Administrator for our Technology Department! Here you will get to work with central gaming systems, be an important part of a competent interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the safe, secure and stable operation of the solutions that entertain Norway.

What does the job entail?

As System Administrator for gaming systems, you will, together with the rest of the team, be responsible for some of the gaming systems that deliver Norsk Tipping's games to our customers. The workday will be varied, and you will interact with many different roles such as IT infrastructure professionals, suppliers, developers, testers, IT architects and product managers, in development processes and management.

Typical tasks include operation and management of gaming systems, automation, installation and assistance in test and test environments for deliveries. Supplier dialog, ITIL incident/problem/change, documentation and risk assessment, etc. Some production deployment at night.

Typical technologies involved in the systems are Oracle databases, Java, Redhat Linux, IBM Websphere Liberty, Splunk, Docker, Ansible, Python, Git, etc.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who combine solid experience from the operation and management of large IT systems with a curiosity that drives you to learn more and explore new solutions. You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and have a strong desire to contribute to a competent and committed community.

We believe you recognize yourself in several of the following points:

  • Education at bachelor's or master's level in relevant disciplines
  • Practical experience in the management of IT systems with an emphasis on secure and stable operation.
  • Have good experience in troubleshooting and problem management in complex infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of modern development methodologies and IT infrastructure architecture
  • Preferably have experience from several of these areas: databases, monitoring, application testing, scripting and automation
  • Not afraid to ask questions, and want to learn and grow.
  • Understand Norwegian and English well, both written and spoken.
