At Sport, we work with some of the most trafficked and dynamic products in Norsk Tipping. Here we develop the experiences around Oddsen, Tipping and Oddsbomben - products with high demands on performance, stability and user experience.

Now we are facing one of the biggest technological promises in the product area for a long time. After the World Cup, the work of building the future betting experience in Norsk Tipping begins. In the past, parts of the customer experience have been delivered by external suppliers, but we will now take greater ownership of the solutions and build a stronger internal native and front-end environment.

Sports is an area in continuous development. New forms of gaming, trends and user expectations mean that we must constantly develop and improve our products, while the solutions must be fast, stable and robust under high traffic.

Product area and solutions

The product area consists of two teams. The teams work with Odds and Pottspill (Tipping and Oddsbomben). These are interdisciplinary teams consisting of product development manager, team leader, system architect, front and back ends, data developer, UX designer, testers and data scientist. The teams work closely together and are keen to utilize synergies across. You will work with the Sport part of our app, i.e. the area the user encounters after pressing "Sport" in the app. These are front-end intensive products with high demands on responsiveness and fast updates. We primarily work with modern native development in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android), and collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, data resources and the web environments that work with React. Around 90% of traffic goes through the app, and the proportion is even higher within Sports. This makes the app experience central to how customers experience Norsk Tipping.

What we're working on now

We're in the early stages of building the new betting experience internally. The groundwork has been done, and we've already tested the technology and performance against our requirements for scalability and user experience. At the same time, we're working on good transitions from existing supplier solutions, stability in today's products and building a stronger internal professional environment within app and native. Not everything is fully rigged, and that leaves room for influence. We want people who want to help build both the solutions, the professional environment and the way we work further.

KI in practice

We are actively working on how AI tools can be used in our development work, and want to be at the forefront of how we use this in a sensible way in the teams. This is still an evolving area where we test, learn and build experience along the way. Here you will be able to influence both practice, tools and how we use AI in everyday development.

What you will work with

As a senior native developer, you will be part of a strong app and native environment with around 20 developers in total, including external consultants. Here, we work closely together across teams and disciplines, and want to build an even stronger internal environment over time.

You will, among other things:

• develop and further develop native solutions in Swift and Kotlin
• help build the new odds experience from scratch
• make active technical choices and contribute to the direction of the app development further
• work closely with backend developers, designers, data resources and business
• contribute to good user experiences in products with high traffic and high performance requirements
• contribute to developing the professional environment and collaboration across the teams

You will be involved in the entire value chain - from idea and concept to development, production and further improvements.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who has experience of app development - either through work, their own projects or a keen interest in the subject. You enjoy working in a team, take responsibility and want to influence both technology and direction. At the same time, you're motivated by building solutions that are used by a lot of people every single day. Experience with Swift, Kotlin or other modern app development is an advantage, but the most important thing for us is that you want to help build the environment further.

Where you start and where you can develop

You will be employed as a developer in Norsk Tipping, and will initially work in the Sports product area. At the same time, we work in a product-oriented organization where skills and needs develop over time. This means that in the long term you may have opportunities to contribute to other parts of the Technology Department, depending on both your interests and the needs of the business.
