Working as a chemical engineer at Northvolt

The Environment & Energy Unit currently consists of six employees whose main task is to ensure that Northvolt Ett delivers in accordance with external and internal guidelines and requirements for the environment and energy. The unit also supports other operations with expertise in the environment, chemicals and energy for example new development projects and produces strategies and reports.

For the unit, we are now looking for a chemical engineer who will primarily work with our follow-up and compliance regarding chemical regulation and management of permits linked to chemicals. You will ensure that chemical processes and products meet high quality standards and follow strict safety regulations and regulations. In this role, you will support management and operations in matters relating to both legal compliance, the environment and improvement work. You will get to know the company well with a great opportunity to develop how our chemical work should look internally. The position also includes liaising with authorities and reporting in your area.

  • Follow-up and compliance regarding chemical regulation
  • Manage permits within Nothvolts linked to chemicals
  • Build chemical handling processes
  • Manage issues regarding improvement work, legal compliance and development work
