Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Commissioning Manager for our Cathode manufacturing (US2) to join our stellar team in Skellefteå.
As the Cathode Active Material (CAM) Commissioning Manager, you will take coordination and ownership of the Process commissioning of the active material process plant for the large-scale battery factory being built in Northern Sweden. Your responsibilities will cover steering both the commissioning planning as well as directly controlling the execution phase.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
Previous battery manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
This position would require a skillset in commissioning high volume chemical process lines.
The role is based in Skellefteå at the Northvolt Ett factory.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop the detailed Commissioning planning and schedule for the Upstream process and associated supporting process utilities and waste treatment facilities, from cold commissioning through to start-up
With NV technical specialists and vendors develop the Commissioning Protocols and Performance Tests to meet NVEtt contractual completion targets
Build the Upstream Commissioning team, identify, recruit, manage and coordinate project commissioning resources from Northvolt, the EPCm Contractor and suppliers to ensure delivery during both the planning and execution phase
Drive the day-to-day execution, tracking, control and performance of Commissioning at site, for the scope, meaning driving equipment and systems Commissioning
Ensure all relevant environmental, health and safety standards are being followed, encouraging a positive health and safety culture
Arrange handover of all relevant commissioning documentation, model data and required certification including both NV and legal requirements to the Manufacturing team
About the team
The position is a key member of the circa 30 member Integrated US2 Project Team based at our site in Skellefteå. The role reports to the Northvolt US2 Project Director, who is tasked with the delivery of the US2 scope on behalf of the CAM business unit.
