We are looking for a driven shift manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Revolt team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up Revolt and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job

You will be a vital member of the Revolt Ett team. For a better understanding of the production and maintenance needs, you must actively participate when our machines and equipment are installed. You must have close co-operation with your colleagues with a mutual goal to ramp up and maximize our production efficiency. You must train and mentor your staff and you also need to have foresight and prepare for future expansion. Ensure that standards are followed, and employees are trained. Follow up shift performance and continuously look for improvement. Act on deviations and work with support functions to fix problems.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and build your team by interviewing candidates in close collaboration with the recruitment team.
  • Coach and train any improvements to all team’s members.
  • Control the equipment and process materials used in our production.
  • Identify training needs personally and for the team to feed into the overall development plan.
  • Coordinate and implement the overall shift training development plan in conjunction with the Production manager.
  • Drive improvements in standards in all aspects of team’s activities and outputs
  • Manage staff breaks, replacements and cover, following company guidelines.
  • Following the holiday allocation guidelines, control the holiday request process, ensuring good records are maintained to achieve good control.
  • Attendance at all specified production and inter-departmental meetings
  • Ensure all customer and internal Quality requirements are met at all times.
  • Accountability for the control of materials issued to all production areas accounting for raw materials and scrap, in the required timeframe. Initiate full investigation into any variances and communication of outcomes through root causing tools.
  • Report incidents using defined system/documentation.
  • Escalate incidents following defined escalation procedures or corrective action guidelines.
  • Accountability for maintaining and continuously improving 5S standards.
  • Ensure all routine tasks (daily/weekly etc) such as calibrations are carried out and recorded in the appropriate log.
  • Ensure adherence by team to all audit schedules defined (for example 5S, standard work, equipment
    calibrations, etc)
  • Keep ERP (or other ERP system) work orders up to date and ensure all transactions for stock control are up to date.
  • Communicate proactively with all other operations departments (e.g., Production lines, warehouse,
    quality, QC labs, maintenance, IT) to make sure they are aware of any useful information that will
    prevent losses in plant performance.
  • Ensure high quality of department reporting and KPIs.
  • In close collaboration with the rest of the team, participate in the installation and start-up of
    machine equipment, process-, and PLC systems.
  • Conduct improvement work with a special focus on safety and ensure that rules and regulations are
    followed.
  • Ensure that your team has the tools and ability, evaluating their performance, and make follow up
    regularly.
  • Rotation of team to achieve development and multi-skilled team whilst maintaining output.
  • Work with continuous Improvement (CI) for shift team.
