The health center service is a separate business area and constitutes the service area children and family, together with the business areas PP - service and child protection service. In the fall of 2026, the health center service will be co-located in new modern premises in central Lena.
The health center service is multidisciplinary with public health nurses, nurses with further education in mental health, midwives, health secretaries, child welfare educators and doctors. The municipality's psychologist has an office in the health center service and is part of the professional environment in the service. There is close cooperation across the sector. In addition, mental health and substance abuse, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, GPs and RPH are important partners.
In Østre Toten municipality, we focus on preventive work, early and comprehensive efforts for children, young people and families. The municipality uses the BTI model (Better Interdisciplinary Intervention) as a basis for providing the right help at the right time.

There is a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as public health nurse. From 1.8.2026 to 31.7.2027, there are vacant temporary positions in different fractions. Please specify if you are applying for both permanent and temporary positions, and what size of position you want.
The positions primarily have tasks in the health center, school health service and youth health center. However, you must expect varied tasks within the breadth of public health nursing education, based on the service's varying needs at any given time.
