The municipal area for health and coping offers services that promote coping, independence, belonging and participation, and is organized in five service areas. Our work is anchored in the municipal plan's community section.

Service area institution:

Institutional services include full-time care in nursing homes and currently consist of 2 dementia wards and a long-term ward. Østre Toten municipality has modern facilities, including the Labo health and care center, which opened in 2020.

The service area has high professional coverage and works actively with person-centered care, dementia care and interdisciplinary collaboration. There is a strong focus on professional development, technology and holistic patient pathways. Institutional services are also part of the national development program TØRN, which promotes full-time culture and competence-based organization.

Institutional services also consist of a separate night watch department that serves residents and users at night, both inside the institution and out in the home service. In addition, a separate department of AKS (Advanced Clinical Nursing) has been established under the institutional service. This is a small department of specialist nurses who assist all the service areas within health and coping with their specialist expertise, and who contribute to interdisciplinary cooperation both internally and externally with, for example, hospitals. The position currently belongs to dementia department 1.

Facts about the position:

As a nurse with us, you will share responsibility for ensuring that the unit is developed professionally and operated in line with current legislation, and you will be involved in building good and robust professional teams that will be equipped for tomorrow's dementia care.You will, among other things, have joint responsibility for training and follow-up of students and new employees in the department, as well as assisting in professional guidance of the staff. The tasks are varied, with the main focus on person-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration and creating a therapeutically correct environment for the individual resident. We have a good working environment and we are proud of the work done in the department.We work closely with Innlandet Hospital Sannerud and use good mapping tools to find the best measures for the patients. There are some residents who may need seclusion and we work therapeutically well for them, and we train staff to become confident and master their tasks. We focus on the joy of life and are committed to creating a good environment for patients and staff.Other specific tasks are:
  • Nurse contact/primary contact for patients.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that goal and action plans and surveys are drawn up and that this is carried out in collaboration with the primary contact/health professional/group leader.
  • Participate in responsibility group meetings, collaboration meetings and similar that are user-oriented.
  • Responsible shifts and shift leader shifts must be taken into account.
Other tasks are stated in the job description. The position involves day/evening and weekend work in annual rotation and with the possibility of long shifts and additional weekends. Qualifications: Requirements:
