Collaboration with family members and volunteers is central to our work, and we are constantly adopting new assistive technologies.

The home care service in Østre Toten is organized into three departments with a shared night shift and is located in modern facilities at Labo. Services include home nursing care, practical assistance, mental health and substance abuse services, safety alarms, and follow-up care for patients of all ages. The service focuses on prevention, early intervention, and a holistic patient care pathway in collaboration with primary care physicians, the short-term care unit, and the case management unit. Free parking is available for employees, and service vehicles are parked in the parking garage. There is also access to a cafeteria.

The Home Care Service has a strong professional environment and focuses on assistive technology and user involvement—with the motto: “Life is best lived at home.”
