Place of work:

The position is part of the Health and Mastery (HM) sector. The health and care sector's goals and strategies are anchored in the document "New Welfare 2040", and focus on coping, independence, belonging and participation.

The home care service in Østre Toten municipality is located at Labo care center. We have service cars for employees, which are in their own parking garage, there is also free parking for employees.

The home care service is organized into 3 departments, each department has its own business manager and subject manager who facilitates good flow in the workday. Through "New Welfare 2040", the home care service focuses on public health and preventive efforts. We want to help create a community municipality, where residents experience an inclusive local community and are given the opportunity to take care of their own health and master their own lives. Collaboration with relatives and volunteers is central, we are constantly using new welfare technology aids.

Facts about the positions:

We are looking for home help in a 50% permanent position for our home service department, work tasks consist of home help assignments, cleaning and practical help in the home to residents of Østre Toten. The position is during the day on weekdays with home help assignments, and with work every 3rd weekend with home care tasks.

As an employee with us, you will be part of a professional network with nurses, health professionals, students and assistants with broad and good expertise. You will receive support and guidance so that you can feel confident in the tasks you will perform as a representative of Østre Toten municipality.

Current tasks in our service:

  • Practical help in the home, such as cleaning and shopping.
  • Care and nursing of service recipients living at home.
  • Distribution of medication to users, after approved medicine exam for health professionals/assistants.
  • Documentation in patient records.
  • Other tasks must be expected.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Driver's license class B.
  • Approved police certificate.
  • Good Norwegian language skills, oral and written.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience from municipal health and care services is an advantage, training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of home care.
