Laboratory medicine in Region Norrbotten consists of clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine, clinical microbiology and clinical pathology. At the unit for clinical pathology, approximately 30 employees work in several different professional categories, including biomedical analysts, autopsy technicians, cytodiagnostics, specialists in pathology and administrative staff.

We are looking for you who is a licensed biomedical analyst with a master's degree in Diagnostic Cytology. The tasks require great accuracy, efficiency, good computer skills as well as personal commitment and responsibility. In addition to education and knowledge, we value your personality highly. Previous experience in the profession is advantageous. We are now looking for a Cytodiagnostician for Clinical Pathology/Cytology at Sunderby Hospital. The laboratory processes various cytological sample types with a very high degree of complexity. This places high demands on our employees, but also provides an opportunity for development, methodological responsibility and competence transfer between colleagues. Our cytodiagnostics diagnose, among other things, cervical cytology, exudate, lung samples, punctures and bladder lavage fluids. We participate in bronchoscopy examinations, EBUS, at Sunderby Hospital.
As a cytodiagnostician, you enable interventions that affect many and are an important part of the diagnostics for patients. You work with cytological diagnostics, method development and contribute to creating the conditions for us to develop and meet the challenges of the future. All cytodiagnostics diagnose independently. You will be part of a structure that is based on processes with many people involved, and the ability to cooperate and understand the whole is then of great importance. You actively participate in the development of our business.
