Gällivare hospital is one of five hospitals in Norrbotten. The hospital is a reinforced county hospital for Malmfälten. The catchment area includes five municipalities: Gällivare, Kiruna, Jokkmokk and Pajala.

Medicine/rehab is a business area that includes around 100 employees who work in both inpatient and outpatient care. Now we are looking for a unit manager who wants to work with the development of employees and operations in a leading function for our dialysis clinic, cytostatics and day treatment and palliative counseling team. The dialysis clinic has 7 treatment places for blood dialysis. The dialysis nurses work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and counsellors. The work combines technology and nursing in a unique way with independent work of the patients' treatment and nursing. The chemotherapy department carries out prescribed chemotherapy treatments, plans treatments, books and calls patients. The reception also provides treatment to patients with, for example, medical stomach/intestinal diseases, MS etc. The work is carried out against other clinics/prescriptions internally and externally. The work also includes advice on e.g. symptom relief, medication and ethical stances. The Palliative Counseling Team (PRT) aims for palliative care to provide the highest possible quality of life for the patient and relatives, as well as to meet physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. The team has a coordinating function and acts as a link between primary care, inpatient care and municipal operations.

Applicants must have adequate university education in health care. We see it as meritorious if you have previous experience in a leading role.

As unit manager, you have responsibility for operations, personnel and finances. You have a delegated work environment responsibility for your company's work environment. You contribute to providing the right conditions for an open and positive climate in the work group where everyone feels participation and can participate and contribute to development and a good work environment You are expected to lead and coordinate the work of the business in a goal-oriented manner. In your role, you are expected to motivate and engage your employees to develop working methods and methods for continuous improvements in the business. The work includes contacts with other businesses within Region Norrbotten as well as with external partners.

As unit manager, you are part of the operational area's management team, where you are expected to contribute to the entire operation's development and goal achievement. You report directly to the operations manager.

Information about the service

You who apply are offered a time-limited managerial appointment of 3 years. The position is full-time and the working hours are set to daytime Monday-Friday.

Region Norrbotten applies individual wage setting according to collective agreements.
