Region Norrbotten's team for Care Hygiene is a county-wide expert function that, through information, teaching and advice, supports managers and employees within the region and municipality in providing patients and users with good and safe care. It is fun, developing and exciting work with many contact points. Healthcare hygiene competence is in high demand from healthcare operations from a patient safety perspective. Healthcare hygiene as a functional area is organized within the Health and Medical Care Department at the Healthcare Safety Unit together with the functional areas Patient Safety, Infection Protection, Radiation Safety and Medicines. We are looking for We are looking for you who are registered nurses with a bachelor's degree or, for the assignment, other appropriate education that the employer deems equivalent. At least two years of clinical experience. You need to have documented good computer skills and master Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and enjoy administrative work. Meritorious experience is: • work in care hygiene, infection control and/or with infectious diseases • infectious epidemiology or clinical microbiology • used to lecturing/training both on site and digitally Meritorious educations: • further education in health care hygiene/infection prevention/microbiology • other adequate further education, e.g. in epidemiology, public health science, statistics and research methodology or clinical further education which we consider complements the care hygiene team • pedagogy or information technology Healthcare hygiene advice can look different depending on the business as well as the situation and the individual. This requires a good ability to identify, categorize and evaluate information. Your function is advisory to the respective care providers, which means that the ability to combine and adapt different educational tools are important skills for a hygiene nurse. Your work is independent, outgoing and varied. We put great emphasis on your personal characteristics. As a person, you are confident in yourself and have a strong ability to engage others and are driven by constantly developing the business you work in and yourself in your professional role. You get to work with this The healthcare hygiene team in the Norrbotten region consists of hygiene nurses and hygiene doctors. We start from Sunderby Hospital, but our mission covers the entire county, which means that travel occurs. We are looking for you who, together with us: • want to be involved in preventing care-related infections (HCIs) and preventing the spread of infection • likes to work independently but also to collaborate with many different professional groups • find it stimulating to be faced with questions to which there are not always clear answers The duties include: • develop routines and guidelines to prevent VRI and prevent the spread of infection • implement new evidence-based healthcare hygiene knowledge • train in basic hygiene routines and dress codes (BHK) • teach and give advice on healthcare hygiene issues • carry out investigations and infection tracing in case of infection outbreaks • contribute with their healthcare hygiene skills, for example when planning premises and procurement of medical equipment That we support each other and help each other when needed is a matter of course in our workplace. Travel occurs in the service. B driver's license is a requirement because the work involves efforts across the entire county and public transport is not always available.
