Länskliniken Obstetrics/Gynecology in Norrbotten conducts a wide range of activities at all five hospitals. BB/Maternity care is concentrated in Gällivare and Sunderby hospitals. We offer our staff continuous training and team training in emergency obstetrics, normal delivery, breastfeeding and other adequate training.
We are looking for
We are looking for you who is a licensed midwife. If you have further training, for example ultrasound or breastfeeding, in the midwifery profession, it is meritorious. If you have experience of working in maternity care, it weighs heavily. We place great importance on personal characteristics. As a person, you must have good cooperation skills, handle work situations with integrity, and be able to work independently. As a midwife, you are a committed initiative taker and enjoy your professional role. You have a positive and professional approach, are effective in stressful situations and have good work management skills. Your way of working must be person-centred, quality-conscious and service-oriented. For us, it is also important that you value differences and understand how background, culture and group affiliation affect yourself and others.
You get to work with this
At our clinic, the work on the maternity ward, childbirth, maternity aftercare is combined and, if desired, also some rotation towards Gällivare's maternity clinic. As a midwife, you have a key role in caring for the pregnant woman before, during and after delivery, as well as providing care and support to the new family. In the role of midwife, you are expected to work in a team around the patient together with other professional categories, such as assistant nurse, doctor, nurse and counselor and more. Now we are working extra to be able to increase our staffing on the various shifts and also further develop a well-functioning outpatient care operation, such as our induction clinic and breastfeeding clinic which will open shortly.

The position is permanent, full-time with working hours day/evening/night. Selection and interviews take place continuously and the position can be filled before the application deadline.
