Are you the nurse we are looking for who wants to be part of the important mission of screening the body artery to find abdominal aortic aneurysms? Do you want to work in a coordinated function where both practical and administrative work is included? Then apply for the position as an aortic screening nurse.

We are looking for
We are looking for you who is a registered nurse and who has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech, language and writing. We also see that you have good knowledge of English. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in reception work or vascular surgery.

We place great importance on personal characteristics. As a person, you are self-motivated, flexible and have good cooperation skills. As you will be responsible for planning and implementation, it is important that you are structured in your work. We also see that you have good teaching skills and have high quality in your work.

You get to work with this
The surgeon's office at Sunderby Hospital belongs to Division Länssjukvård 2 and operational area General Surgery/Urology. You will be part of a well-functioning vascular surgery team consisting of a vascular coordination nurse, five vascular surgeons and an additional part-time aortic screening nurse.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the national screening mission for men over 65.

Existing tasks:

  • Ultrasound examination of the body pulse in all 65-year-old men in Norrbotten
  • Follow-up ultrasound examinations for discovered aortic aneurysms
  • Planning and booking of ultrasound examinations
  • Care quality follow-up

The work includes trips to Gällivare and Kiruna hospitals, where screening is offered to men in Malmfälten.

Information about the service
The position is permanent, full-time, daytime Monday to Friday. Shift work may occur. Selection and interviews take place continuously and the position can be filled before the application deadline.

Region Norrbotten applies individual wage setting according to collective agreements.
