The stroke unit and Neurorehab belong to the Neurocentrum at Sunderby Hospital. The care department has beds for inpatient neurological care and rehabilitation and is located in accessible premises on floor 4. Adjacent to the department is the Stroke Rehabilitation Team (SHR), the Stroke Clinic, the Baklofen Clinic and the Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic. Are you a recent graduate? We are looking for You are a registered nurse. We see that you have knowledge of the Swedish language, at least C1 level. You have a positive attitude and good cooperation skills. You are committed to your professional role, interested in person-centred care and have a rehabilitative approach. You can be a recent graduate or experienced, the most important thing is an interest in working with stroke and other neurological diseases. We place great importance on personal characteristics. It is advantageous if you have previous experience with patients with stroke or neurological diseases. In the assignment as a nurse, you have to take personal responsibility and it is therefore important that you are safe as a person. You enjoy meeting people, are responsive and empathetic and have a willingness to cooperate in the team around the patient. You get to work with this At the Stroke Unit, you work in a team with good cohesion and an open climate. You cared for the patient through the entire care chain, through the acute phase and further into rehabilitation. The work in the department is based on clear routines that are based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's National guidelines for stroke care. The stroke unit is part of the alarm chain called Rädda Hjärnan, which means that the department receives patients in an acute stage and the nurses provide clot-dissolving treatment (thrombolysis). At the Stroke Unit, we work in multi-professional teams that include nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counselors and speech therapists. We are a committed team that works with a focus on person-centered care and implements a rehabilitative approach in everyday life. In the evenings and weekends, the nurse at the Stroke Unit also takes care of patients from the department's other team, Neurorehab. Neurorehab has Norrbotten's highest rehab level and here patients with, among other things, stroke, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury are cared for and rehabilitated.
