We are now looking for you who is a certified occupational therapist. For this role it is required that you can express and understand the Swedish language well in speech and writing. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have work experience as an occupational therapist in specialist care. But we are also looking for you with new knowledge and who is new to the profession.

Here at the Rehabilitation Unit, Piteå hospital, we work with inpatients in care wards and in Outpatient Rehabilitation. The care departments have different specializations such as stroke, medicine, PAVA and orthopedics. We often work in teams together with other professionals such as physiotherapists, counsellors, nurses, doctors and other care actors. In the role of occupational therapist, you contribute with your specific professional skills to provide the patient with the best possible care and rehabilitation. You have a basic placement in a department, but we support each other when necessary in the daily work. This means that you have the opportunity to develop in several areas.
The work consists, among other things, of investigations, assessments, rehabilitation, transfers, prescribing and testing aids and training in everyday rehabilitation for the department's care staff. In your daily work, you regularly meet patients who need help with transfers, which means some heavy lifting. You are important in the discharge process and over-report to the next level of care for a safe and secure return home for the patient. The work also includes participation in the development of new working methods and supervision of students.
You will be one of 12 occupational therapists and as a new occupational therapist with us, we offer you supervision/mentoring by an experienced colleague. We also have regular professional meetings and internal training where we exchange experiences and have the opportunity to reflect. All employees have an individual competence development plan.

Information about the service
We offer a permanent full-time position. Working hours are daytime Monday - Friday. Some work during public holidays may occur in some years. Access by agreement. Selection and interviews take place continuously and the position can be filled before the application deadline.
