We are looking for a licensed optician with contact lens authorization with an interest in visually impaired optics to join and develop the work at the Vision Center in Norrbotten. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
As a person, you are self-motivated and structured. You take responsibility for your task, plan, organize and prioritize work effectively. In the meeting with the patient, it is important to be responsive, communicative, and have a solution-focused approach. Furthermore, you are flexible and have good cooperation skills. You see opportunities in changes and value and see the benefit in working together.

You get to work with this
People of all ages and with varying degrees of visual impairment/blindness come to the vision centre. The work is patient-oriented with a focus on individual optical solutions for people who often undergo successive deteriorations. We offer you a variety of work that includes, among other things:
• Assessment and mapping of the patient's vision
• Testing and prescription of optical vision aids
• New fitting and re-fitting of glasses and contact lenses
• Participation in improvement and development work around future health and care within one's own profession and unit.
As an optician with us, you work during the day, on weekdays. We welcome full-time and part-time applications,
The goal of the activity is to create conditions for people with visual impairment/blindness to live a good life. Vision pedagogues, counselors, IT technicians, administrators and unit managers work at the Vision Center in Luleå.

Information about the service
The position is full-time permanent employment. We also welcome applications from those who wish to work part-time. Location is optional to one of Region Norrbotten's hospital locations. Selection and interviews take place continuously and the position can be filled before the application deadline.
Region Norrbotten applies individual wage setting according to collective agreements.
