Are you a manager and leader who is motivated by developing and improving the business together with your employees? Then we are looking for you for the assignment as unit manager for Medicine/Rehab and stroke at Kiruna hospital! Kiruna Hospital is Sweden's northernmost hospital and one of five hospitals in Norrbotten.

The Medicine/Rehab and stroke department has 24 care places. In our departments, nurses and assistant nurses work in close collaboration. We care for and treat patients with emergency medical conditions, we carry out rehabilitation after stroke and we care for patients who have a palliative diagnosis. We carry out the rehabilitation in close collaboration with paramedical staff.


We are looking for
We are looking for you with adequate academic training in healthcare. We see it as meritorious if you have previous experience as a manager or leader.

As a leader, you motivate by giving others the authority needed to achieve jointly set goals. You act in line with decisions made, goals and guidelines and prioritize these with ease. You are communicative and responsive and adapt to others. You contribute to providing the right conditions for an open and positive climate in the work group where everyone feels participation and can participate and contribute to development and a good working environment. You value good collaborations, lead and motivate employees to achieve jointly set goals together. You are structured and you ensure that your message reaches different situations. Furthermore, we see that you, the applicant, have the ability to take initiative, have good cooperation skills and see opportunities in changes.


You get to work with this

The position involves shared leadership together with your unit manager colleague. As unit manager for Medicine/Rehab/Stroke, you are responsible for operations, finances, personnel and work environment. Work environment responsibility is an important part of the assignment where you see the importance of and work for a good work environment. You lead, plan, organize, support and motivate employees towards set goals. You are involved in creating conditions for the improvement work within the business together with the employees. You work for safe care and initiate and drive improvements in patient safety. You are directly subordinate to the business manager and part of Internmedicin Kiruna's management team, where you are expected to contribute to the development and fulfillment of the business's goals. You collaborate with and receive support from other experienced managers within the business area.

Information about the service
Full time, daytime work. The appointment is a permanent appointment in your basic profession with a time-limited managerial appointment for three years.

Region Norrbotten applies individual wage setting according to collective agreements.
