The Brøttum, Lismarka, and Åsen Daycare Center unit is located in northern Ringsaker, about 10–15 minutes from Lillehammer. The unit consists of three daycare centers with a total of five departments. The kindergartens collaborate and share common goals and priority areas. We place a strong emphasis on interpersonal relationships and building strong bonds. We focus particularly on children’s participation, early intervention, and inclusion in children’s language development. This year’s priority area is “Children in Motion.”

The Brøttum, Lismarka, and Åsen Daycare Centers are seeking a Child and Youth Worker for a 50% permanent position starting October 1, 2026, or as agreed.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities. 
  • Perform tasks related to individual children and groups.
  • Contribute to the department’s educational work in accordance with goals and plans.
  • Promote collaboration and quality in work with children, parents, and staff.
  • Participate in play and activities with the children.
  • Participate in the unit’s professional development.
  • Share responsibility for planning, evaluating, and documenting the department’s educational content. 

Qualifications:

  • Certificate as a child and youth worker.
  • Experience working in a preschool is preferred.
  • A confident adult with strong interpersonal skills, good communication and collaboration abilities, and knowledge of child development.
  • Demonstrates professional knowledge and understanding.
  • Focuses on both the individual child and the group of children.
  • Is eager to help further develop our preschools.

  • Is caring, creative, and engaged in play.
  • An active adult with a positive, solution-focused, and flexible attitude.
  • Can work independently and purposefully, but also as part of a team.
  • Has a cheerful disposition and an appreciative demeanor.
  • Possesses strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Is committed, motivated, and takes initiative.
  • Enjoys spending time outdoors with the children throughout all seasons.
  • Personal suitability for the position will be emphasized.

Annual salary for a full-time position: Child and Youth Worker, job code 7517, ranging from NOK 475,300 to NOK 551,100.
