
The reception team has a vacant 100% permanent position as a child welfare consultant from August 19, 2026.
Work tasks:
- Receive, process and assess reports of concern
- Operate duty phone during the day 08.00 - 15.30, in turn in the team
- Guidance and information to the public and partners who are considering reporting concerns
- Analyze, process and decide on referral or further investigation in collaboration with the manager
- Emergency and crisis work for children, adolescents and families
- Assist other teams with emergency work, and ev. Also other tasks in investigations
- Prevention of urgent transfers
- Implementation of urgent measures
- Information to partners and other external information work
- Party testimony and testimony in boards and other legal bodies as needed
Qualifications:
- Child welfare educator or social worker
- Experience from the child welfare's first line is desirable
- Good knowledge of the Child Welfare Act's emergency provisions
- Driver's license class B

- Relationship skills, robustness and ability to handle demanding cases
- Good child welfare assessment skills, combined with a holistic approach across services and disciplines
- Professionally committed, responsible and thrives on a high work pace in acute cases
- Trauma-sensitive understanding

Requirements for applicants:
Before taking up your position, you must have a satisfactory police certificate, cf. Section 12-11 of the Civil Code, and confirmation of completed and approved tuberculosis control for persons who have stayed abroad for a longer period of time, cf. regulations. Such confirmations are not attached to the application.
Hours of work:
Normal working hours from 08.00 - 15.30. Flexible hours. Some afternoon and evening work can be expected in connection with emergency work, holding family councils and the like, but normally emergency work is taken over by the child protection guard from 16.00.
Salary conditions:
Annual salary in 100% position for child protection educator/social worker (job code 6508/7534) from NOK 547,600 to NOK 639,500 depending on seniority. In the case of relevant further education, placement as an interdisciplinary specialist (job code 7710) from NOK 588,600 - 671,200 per year will be considered. Annual salary for employees with a relevant master's degree (job code 7712) from NOK. 629,300 to 765,600 depending on seniority.
