Kulturskolen i Ringsaker has a vacancy for a 20% position as a cello teacher from 01.08.2026. Kulturskolen has a growing string community and is looking for a cello teacher who can help build up a cello tribe at the school. Kulturskolen has departments in music, theater, dance and visual arts with 23 employees divided into 12.84 man-years.

Tasks:

The work will primarily include individual teaching and ensemble, but can also consist of beginner training in groups such as music carousel.

  • Collaboration with colleagues on professional development in the cultural school.
  • Planning and implementation of performances and active participation in interdisciplinary projects.
  • Fixed working hours include fixed meeting times, which are scheduled for Tuesdays from 11:30 - 13:30. The person appointed must work actively with the recruitment of students.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 3 years of professionally relevant college education or equivalent prior learning is required.
    • Previous teaching experience and practice will be emphasized.
    • Comfortable with the use of digital tools such as Speedadmin and Teams.

    Personal qualities:

    • Positive and committed with good role understanding.
    • Creative and flexible with good collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and structured.

    The position is salaried as a music and culture school teacher, job code 6814, and is paid according to the current collective agreement, depending on qualifications, practice and seniority.
