There is a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as technical manager within water and sewage networks in Technical Operations. The position reports to the department manager for water and wastewater. We are looking for you who want to contribute with your expertise in water and wastewater networks. The position belongs to technical operations, which consists of 80.5 man-years. Technical Operations is responsible for the traditional important technical community tasks such as water supply, sewage systems, municipal roads, parks and green spaces. Technical Operations is also a key player in relation to urban, suburban, site and business development. This means that Technical Operations' goal is to ensure a safe water supply, good wastewater management, efficient and safe transportation, safeguard aesthetic and green values and work to create good conditions for all residents and businesses in the municipality. Technical Operations solves this with an offensive attitude, is result-oriented, works closely with associations, interest groups, business and other units in the municipality.

The vacant position as technical manager belongs to the department of water and wastewater. The department operates approximately 1,000 km of pipelines and more than 130 technical buildings, including three waterworks and four treatment plants. The department's main tasks are to maintain the municipality's pipe network, supply safe, good and sufficient drinking water, and to transport and treat wastewater from the municipality's inhabitants and businesses

Tasks:

The position includes the following tasks:

  • Advise and support the head of department.
  • Be responsible for all municipal water and wastewater pipes.
  • Be responsible for the preparation, further development and follow-up of operating plans in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Contribute to maintaining and updating municipal water and sewage standards.
  • Provide professional clarification and input to other units in the municipality.
  • Contribute to projects, both under the auspices of private and public developers.
  • Lead, assist, support and follow up the supervisor.
  • Contribute to the follow-up of finances, reporting, quality and HSE within your own area of expertise.
  • Conduct public case management.
  • Public contact.

Qualifications:

  • Education from vocational school, college or university in relevant subject areas. Applicants with long and extensive experience in the field without formal higher education may also be considered.
  • Experience in the water and sewage industry is desirable
  • Generally good ICT skills.
  • Good oral and written presentation skills.
  • Driver's license class B.
