Kommunalmedisinsk senter Ringsaker (KMS) consists of two inpatient departments with a total of 60 beds. In addition, KMS has a department that offers learning and coping training consisting of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, wellness center, aids and cancer coordinator. KMS Ringsaker emphasizes the values of knowledge, coping and collaboration in the provision of health and care services to the municipality's residents. KMS collaborates closely with other units in the municipality, GPs, out-of-hours services and the specialist health service to ensure good and safe patient pathways.

Kommunalmedisinsk senter Ringsaker (KMS) avdeling for korttid søker:

1 nurse in 100% permanent position
1 nurse in 80.05% permanent position
1 nurse in 88.26% temporary position in the period 01.10.2026 - 31.05.2027, two-part rotation, as well as every third weekend.

The positions are currently at KMS, Korttidsavdelingen 2. etg, where we have 30 beds divided into two groups. Most patients are discharged from hospital to the short-term ward with a need for further medical treatment and follow-up, rehabilitation or palliative care. Many need an assessment of their physical, mental or cognitive function, and an evaluation of the right level of care. The length of a short-term stay and content are adapted to individual needs with an interdisciplinary assessment. In the department, you will work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, professional development nurses, nurses and healthcare professionals. The department is also a learning arena for students, trainees and apprentices under the guidance of their supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Authorization as a nurse, preferably relevant further education in geriatrics, mental health work or rehabilitation
• Good ability to collaborate, work independently and in a team
• Ability to take on the leadership role in their own work and as duty manager
• Committed to the profession and knowledge-seeking
• Solution-oriented and flexible
• Clear, structured and goal-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Good ICT knowledge
• Good clinical observation and assessment skills

Work tasks:

• Mapping, implementing and evaluating goals and action plans
• Goal discussions focusing on "what is important to you?"
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration in the department and external collaboration with home care, hospital, GP
• Monitor the patient in ADL function with a focus on self-management
• Documentation is an important part of the work.
• Perform nursing tasks and practical procedures according to the patient's needs
• Conduct clinical observations and assessments
• Close collaboration with the doctor
