Buttekvern and Fredheimvegen Daycare Centers are seeking a Preschool Teacher for a full-time (100%) permanent position, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Buttekvern and Fredheimvegen Daycare Centers are located south of downtown Brumunddal. The unit consists of two preschools. The preschools share common goals and priority areas, and there is active collaboration between them. The unit is committed to maintaining a strong professional focus that ensures a high-quality educational program. The kindergartens participate in development work and projects that strengthen their overall expertise.

Early intervention and inclusion through children’s language development are major areas of focus for us. Developing children’s social skills, as well as fostering positive interpersonal relationships and communication skills, is essential for participation, learning, and development. Play and a child-centered, exploratory play environment are at the heart of our approach. We aim to create a safe, warm, and inspiring environment where children can thrive through curiosity, creativity, and enriching play experiences that foster a sense of community and well-being. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the department
  • Organizing groups
  • Educational work in the department in accordance with established goals and plans
  • Collaboration with parents
  • Planning, documentation, facilitation, and evaluation of the educational work in the department
  • Participating in supervision, professional development, and knowledge sharing with colleagues
  • Ensuring collaboration and quality in work with children, parents, and staff

Qualifications:

  • Approved training as a preschool teacher
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience facilitating work in small groups
  • Focus on structure and organization as a working method
  • Expertise in child development
  • Focus on play/facilitating play, inclusion, and inspiring play environments
  • A confident and clear adult who treats every child with warmth and care
  • Relevant IT skills

Annual salary for a full-time position: Preschool Teacher, job code 6709: From 545,400 to 639,900
