The Simenstua, Furnes, and Kylstad preschools are organized as a single unit and are located in scenic surroundings throughout Furnes. With us, you’ll become part of a stable and inclusive work environment with dedicated staff who are committed to making a positive difference in the children’s daily lives. We strongly believe in children’s participation and the value of positive, supportive relationships between children and adults. We aim to provide the children with a safe, active, and meaningful daily life—filled with play, enriching play environments, learning, and experiences that foster joy and curiosity. Working with children’s play and the development of play environments is a key focus area for us; we have recently launched this initiative and are working purposefully on it throughout the entire unit.

In our work, we draw on the program “See the Child from Within”, based on the Circle of Security (COS-P). This provides us with a shared understanding and a solid foundation for supporting children’s attachment, development, and sense of mastery.
