We are looking for a dedicated and competent employee who wants to contribute to the comprehensive and positive development of the Ringsaker community. The municipality is very active and offers many exciting planning-related tasks. We are currently actively working to facilitate urban development, business and commercial areas, as well as transportation initiatives, including the planning of the new Mjøsa Hospital in Moelv and the E6 crossing over Lake Mjøsa. There is also significant planning activity in the Ringsakerfjellet area and related to Lake Mjøsa and other waterways.

The position is located in the municipal director’s planning section, which is responsible for land-use planning in accordance with the Planning and Building Act and environmental protection. The Planning Section is a multidisciplinary team of eight employees. The work location will be the municipal building in Brumunddal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on municipal planning tasks; own planning proposals, studies, analyses, and various project work
  • Processing of private planning proposals
  • Engaging in dialogue with and providing guidance to residents, private planning consultants, and developers, as well as facilitating public participation processes
  • Providing professional advice in building permit processing
  • Job responsibilities may vary somewhat depending on the expertise and interests of the person hired

Qualifications:

  • Degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, or another land-use planning discipline at the university or college level
  • Relevant work experience may partially compensate for the educational requirement
  • Relevant work experience in municipal planning case management, the preparation of zoning plans, landscape planning, or similar fields is an advantage, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
