The Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services are organized under the Health and Care Division of Ringsaker Municipality. The unit consists of four departments: the Treatment Department, the Outpatient Team, Kirkevegen, and the Youth Team, and will also establish a Rapid Mental Health Response Team (RPH) in the fall of 2026. The unit has approximately 53 full-time equivalents.

We are now seeking a dedicated employee for a full-time position based in the Treatment Department. 

The Treatment Department has 15 full-time equivalents and provides follow-up care and treatment to individuals with mild to moderate mental health and substance use challenges. The job duties are varied, and there are excellent opportunities to work within your area of expertise and interest in mental health and substance abuse services. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifying and assessing appropriate service options
• Psychoeducation and talk therapy
• Providing low-threshold group programs in physical activity
• Courses and group therapy
• Collaboration with relevant partners
• Collaboration with and counseling for family members
• Using Assisted Self-Help as a tool in follow-up and to ensure systematic user feedback
• Documentation in our EHR system, Profil

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-year degree in health and social sciences; occupational therapist or physical therapist preferred
• Relevant continuing education, either currently underway or a desire to pursue it.
• Experience in mental health and substance abuse work, or equivalent work
• Knowledge of and experience with cognitive therapy is desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong digital skills
• Class B driver’s license
