The Ringsaker Municipal Medical Center (KMS) is responsible for providing health and care services to all residents of Ringsaker Municipality. The center provides treatment options before, during, and after hospital stays. KMS has a total of 60 short-term care beds, distributed across two departments. KMS’s first floor offers treatment in the areas of palliative care, rehabilitation, and municipal acute inpatient beds (KAD).

We are a wonderful interdisciplinary team composed of nurses, healthcare workers, specialty nurses, professional development nurses, doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, kitchen assistants, nursing students, and health care students who work together to provide our patients with safe and appropriate health care services. Commitment and professional expertise are important to us, which is why we have resource groups for various disciplines, an annual cycle with focus months, and in-house training.

No two days are alike here, which is why a healthy dose of humor and job satisfaction is essential in a workday filled with such varied tasks. The positions involve rotating day and evening shifts, with work currently scheduled every third weekend.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a nurse
• Strong IT skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant continuing education in nursing may be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. Personal suitability will be given greater weight

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide safe healthcare services in collaboration with the team
• Medication management
• Documentation in the EHR
• Clinical observations and assessments
• Mentoring new hires, colleagues, and students

Salary

Salary in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements. In addition, Ringsaker Municipality includes a recruitment bonus as part of the salary.

Other

Good pension plans. A recent police background check must be submitted before starting the position (no older than 3 months).
