Ringsaker School aims to equip students as well as possible to take charge of their lives and participate in work and community life. The school’s broad mandate and social mission are fulfilled through early intervention and close monitoring of the school’s academic and social learning environment. A high academic standard and a systematic approach will enhance the quality of education for students in Ringsaker. Brøttum Elementary and Middle School is the only K-10 school in Ringsaker, with a total of 363 students. Geographically, we are located in the northern part of the municipality, approximately 12 km from Lillehammer. The school is designed to accommodate 425 students. This is a wonderful school with an integrated school library, specialized rooms such as art and crafts, a music room, a science room with a laboratory, and a room for food and health education. We also have a multipurpose hall, an auditorium, and a cafeteria. We are looking for a colleague who thrives in a fast-paced and active work environment and offer a position in a performance-oriented setting. Our goal is mastery and development for everyone, both students and staff.

We have a full-time (100%) temporary teaching position available. Preference will be given to candidates whose subject areas include English and social studies at the lower secondary level. Teaching at the elementary level may also be relevant. Start date: October 12, 2026, or as soon as possible. The temporary position is limited to 6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teaching at the lower secondary level
  • Teaching other subjects and grade levels may be required

Qualifications:

  • Teaching certification for lower secondary school in English and social studies is preferred.
  • Experience as a homeroom teacher is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
