Scandic Wallin is located, as the name suggests, on Wallingatan, which marks the border between City and Vasastan in Stockholm. The hotel is centrally located, with everything from cultural experiences to shopping districts and other attractions just around the corner. Inside, the decor celebrates modern art and design, with warm colors and shapes that spark curiosity—the interior is a small nod to the building’s designer, Sven “Mr. Funkis” Markelius.
We are now looking for a Kitchen Assistant (Breakfast) for Scandic Wallin.
No matter why a guest comes to us, few things are as appreciated as a friendly face that welcomes them. You’ll act as a host alongside the rest of the hotel team and create a world-class guest experience.
With us, you’ll have a great deal of autonomy to make the decisions needed to ensure guest satisfaction, and our teams continuously develop and improve our work processes and service as the world around us changes. We’re convinced that it’s when you’re able to grow and contribute all your skills and experience that we exceed our guests’ expectations. And on top of that, we have fun at work!
So bring your experience, your dedication, and your way of thinking to us—and help build a culture where we truly care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic!
What does the role entail?
Your primary role is to work in the operations of our food and beverage departments, performing various operational tasks to ensure guests have the best experience and feel world-class service. Your duties include simple food preparation for breakfast, Scandic Shop, staff meals, and bar prep. You’ll also handle plating and keep the kitchen, restaurant, and common areas tidy. You’ll ensure that dishwashing, sanitation, and self-inspection run smoothly and in accordance with food safety policies, concepts, and manuals. You’ll also work closely with your colleagues during breakfast service to ensure our guests have a great start to their day.
Who are you?
To be a good fit for this role, we believe you have at least one year of experience in similar work, as well as experience in concept-driven operations. Most important, however, are your personal qualities and your attitude. To be a good fit for this role, you need to be a strong team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall results. It’s also important that you can provide excellent hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

It all starts with you. Working at one of our hotels means being part of a team where thoughtfulness, collaboration, and small everyday moments make a difference. You help create the warm, home-like atmosphere that characterizes Scandic—by being present, right here and now, and making sure the details matter.
Some days fly by, others are more predictable—no two days are alike. But what always remains is the team spirit. You’re there for one another, solve problems as they arise, and take pride in delivering quality—even when the pace is fast. And when you do that, guests don’t just enjoy their stay—they want to come back.
