Are you the one? In the middle of the new Kiruna, next to the city hall, one of Kiruna's most exciting buildings towers up with 231 rooms, a flexible meeting offer and a magnificent sky bar with a view of Kebnikaise in the west.
As Operations Manager you will support and set requirements directly to the responsible managers in the operations departments of the hotel's businesses, and have an extremely active role in planning, finance and future. Reporting directly to the GM, you will be responsible for efficiency and performance, assisting with long-term planning and assisting with administrative tasks. The role is a senior leadership role with high demands on leadership skills and characteristics according to Scandic's leadership compass. In the role, working hours are expected to be adapted so that the incumbent has full control of the business. The role also requires presence and patience to coach colleagues from different areas of expertise within the hotel to jointly meet the needs and goals of the business in line with guest expectations.
You are expected to have good to very good knowledge of all of Scandic's used systems. This includes working in these systems as well as training and supporting department managers, and troubleshooting problems. Good knowledge of HR issues, Good knowledge of crisis management, good knowledge of all operational departments at the hotel, good knowledge and experience of concepts, food and beverage culture and leading trends in these. Can communicate with guests in at least two languages
This is a full-time, permanent position.
We apply probationary period. Your immediate manager will be the GM of the hotel. The work includes inconvenient working hours. Start date as soon as possible. Salary according to agreement.
