Payroll Specialist for Scandic Hotels! Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Payroll administrator
Work model On location
Application due date 26 October 2025
Are you the one? Do you want to be part of creating amazing experiences - even behind the scenes?
We are now looking for an experienced payroll specialist with an eye for detail and a great service focus to join our dedicated Payroll team in Stockholm!
At Scandic, every team member is important - whether you're meeting guests every day or working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. In the role of Payroll Specialist, you'll help create the conditions for our colleagues around the country to receive the right salary at the right time - and thus feel secure in their employment.
About the role
In the role of payroll specialist, you will work with your colleagues to develop and streamline processes - both for internal use and from a user perspective. We are responsible for the payroll administration for all our hotels around Sweden.
You will, among other things:
- Manage payroll activities according to annual cycle (e.g. vacation year change, salary revision) and monthly cycle (such as monitoring, investigations, checks and payroll run).
- Review and approve processes in the HR system.
- Answering general questions on payroll and related administration via case management system and telephone - from employees, managers and authorities.
We are centrally located in Stockholm and enjoy working together on site, but also offer a flexible arrangement with the possibility of hybrid work.
To thrive and succeed in the role
We are looking for you who have training as a payroll specialist or payroll economist and at least three years of current experience in payroll administration, preferably with knowledge of the HRF agreement. You are confident in both Swedish and English, have good computer skills and work easily in the Office package. If you also have experience of systems such as SD Worx, Workday or Quinyx, we see that as an extra plus.
To thrive with us, we believe that you are a structured person who is happy to roll up your sleeves when needed and does not hesitate to do the little extra. You can easily handle periodic work peaks and are driven by finding solutions - always with a large dose of curiosity. You appreciate change and see learning as a natural part of the work, especially in a role that is at the interface between people, systems and development.
Our offer
We offer you an organization that spreads joy, and we know that we reach further when differences are affirmed. With us, you will have the space to be yourself and develop in the direction you want, with secure conditions and fair agreements as a basis. Bring your experience, your commitment and your way of thinking to us - contribute to a culture where we genuinely care: about each other, our guests and our planet.
The role is a permanent position that starts with a probationary period and is located at Scandic's head office on Sveavägen in Stockholm.
We handle applications on an ongoing basis and appointments may therefore be made before the deadline. As part of the selection process, we use tests.
A warm welcome with your application and to Scandic!
