What does the role of Property Manager entail?
As a Property Manager, you’re responsible for ensuring the hotel is kept in excellent condition and is a safe and secure place for guests and employees. Scandic is the tenant and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both the hotel’s property and the building. You’ll work proactively on fire safety and security and oversee both preventive and emergency maintenance, handling both the practical and administrative aspects. Sustainability is a key priority, and you’ll actively work to further integrate it into our work practices. The Property Manager reports to the Hotel Director and is a member of the hotel’s management and crisis response team. You will have personnel responsibility for property maintenance staff and technicians within Property Services.
Responsibilities in the role
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, lease agreement obligations, and Scandic’s concepts and standards • Serve as Scandic’s point of contact for technical issues and defining boundaries with the landlord • Developing an operations and maintenance plan, as well as planning and participating in the execution of daily operations and maintenance of the hotel • Monitoring consumption and reporting environmental data to regulatory authorities, Svanen™, etc. • Analyze and implement measures to optimize the operation of the building’s climate control systems, heating, and ventilation • Budgeting and monitoring • Systematic fire safety work, physical security, and overall safety and security efforts; train colleagues and new hires in these areas

Responsibility and drive are essential for this position, as are organizational skills and the ability to structure tasks. You motivate, mentor, and actively participate in the hands-on work yourself. You have strong collaboration skills and a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service
This role requires experience in technical management and a technical education at least at the high school level. An interest in any of the following areas—electrical, HVAC, or control and regulation technology—is welcome. You must also have a solid understanding of fire safety, AFF definitions, and property regulations. Training as a facility maintenance technician in fire alarms and sprinkler systems, as well as a certificate in hot work, is a plus. Additionally, we expect you to have strong computer skills and a good command of Swedish and English.
