Are you the one?

We are currently looking for a property manager for the Scandic Grand Hotel.

No matter why a guest comes to us, few things are as appreciated as a friendly face that welcomes them. You’ll act as a host alongside the rest of the hotel team and create a world-class guest experience.

With us, you’ll have a great deal of autonomy to make the decisions needed to ensure guest satisfaction, and our teams continuously develop and improve our work processes and service as the world around us changes. We’re convinced that it’s when you’re able to grow and contribute all your skills and experience that we exceed our guests’ expectations. And as a bonus, we have fun at work!

So bring your experience, your dedication, and your way of thinking to us—and help build a culture where we truly care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic!

What does the role entail?

As a housekeeper at Scandic, your primary focus is to create a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained environment for our guests and colleagues. The work takes place largely in hotel rooms and common areas, which means you’ll interact with guests many times each day. That’s why we’re looking for someone who enjoys providing service and thrives on being the hotel’s problem-solver.

In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day operations as well as scheduled and corrective maintenance of the hotel’s facilities and equipment. This can involve everything from minor repairs and surface finishing to simpler building maintenance tasks. A background in painting, carpentry, or another skilled trade is considered a plus.

You’ll work at a fast pace where no two days are alike. To thrive with us, you need to be self-motivated, meticulous, and able to prioritize different tasks. You have an eye for detail and enjoy seeing clear results from your work.

You’ll be part of a small, close-knit property team consisting of two people, where you’ll work together to ensure the hotel maintains high standards for both guests and employees. The role involves close collaboration with several of the hotel’s departments and offers great opportunities to influence both the guest experience and day-to-day operations. You will report to the Housekeeping Manager and the hotel’s General Manager.

Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is hands-on and enjoys working with their hands.
  • Thrives in a service-oriented role with frequent interaction with people.
  • Are meticulous, responsible, and solution-oriented.
  • Are highly self-motivated and enjoy working at a fast pace.
  • Have experience in painting, property maintenance, carpentry, or another skilled trade.
  • Thrives in a small team where members help and support one another.
  • Is humble and recognizes the value of good collaboration between the hotel’s various departments.
  • Brings positive energy and a solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Speak and write Swedish and have a basic knowledge of English.

Experience in fire safety, building services, HVAC, or electrical work is a plus but not required.
