Are you the one?

We are currently looking for a Receptionist at Scandic Örnsköldsvik.

No matter why a guest comes to us, few things are as appreciated as a friendly face that welcomes them. You’ll act as a host alongside the rest of the hotel team and create a world-class guest experience.

With us, you’ll have a great deal of autonomy to make the decisions needed to ensure guest satisfaction, and our teams continuously develop and improve our work processes and service as the world around us changes. We’re convinced that it’s when you’re able to grow and contribute all your skills and experience that we exceed our guests’ expectations. And on top of that, we have fun at work!

So bring your experience, your passion, and your way of thinking to us—and help build a culture where we truly care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic!

What does the role entail?

As a front desk associate, you’re responsible for ensuring our guests receive world-class service. You’re the hub that keeps the guest at the center of everything we do. You’re the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to the details. You make sure guests’ requests are met. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution up your sleeve. You can handle just about anything and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby—that’s where you meet the most guests. Your responsibilities also include administrative tasks, security duties, and sales-related work.

Working at the front desk involves checking hotel guests in and out, welcoming them, and providing them with the information they need about their stay. You’ll manage reservations in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and security. All work is carried out with a focus on guest satisfaction and sales.

The hotel is open 24 hours a day, so it’s important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).

Who are you?

To be a good fit for this role, we believe you have well-developed social skills and are capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. It is very important that you can provide excellent hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

You also have experience and knowledge of working with computers as a tool.

Since the job largely involves communicating with guests, a good command of Swedish and English is required. Speaking an additional language is a plus.

Most important, however, are your personal qualities and your attitude. To be a good fit for this role, you need to be a responsive and humble team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall results.

Experience in a service-oriented profession—preferably in the hospitality industry

It all starts with you. Working at one of our hotels means being part of a team where thoughtfulness, collaboration, and small everyday moments make a difference. You help create the warm, home-like atmosphere that characterizes Scandic—by being present, right here and now, and making sure the details matter.

Some days fly by, others are more predictable—no two days are alike. But what always remains is the team spirit. You’re there for each other, solve problems as they arise, and take pride in delivering quality—even when the pace is fast. And when you do that, guests don’t just enjoy their stay—they want to come back.

This is how we work at Scandic

We’re at our best when we work together—across roles, hotels, and teams—and focus on what makes a real difference in everyday life. Our values guide how we act and deliver: Be Pro, Be Bold, Be Caring, and Be You.

If you believe that exceptional hospitality is created through collaboration, consistent quality, and small, well-executed moments, you’ll feel right at home with us.
