Scandic Opalen is located in Gothenburg's most fun neighborhood, right between Ullevi and Scandinavium. With newly renovated premises, our hotel is perfect for recharging or after the concert, fair, match or movie. We are now looking for a Receptionist for hotel Scandic Opalen with work every other weekend and the possibility of extra shifts during the weekdays. As a Receptionist, you act as a host together with the rest of the team at the hotel and create a world-class guest experience. As a Receptionist, you will work in one or more areas of responsibility that all contribute to the overall guest experience. During your time with us, these areas may vary as you and the business develop. You'll take a lot of responsibility for making the decisions needed to satisfy our guests, and our teams will develop and improve their approach and service as the world around them changes. What does the role of Receptionist entail? Working in the Front of House area, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web that ensures that the guest is always in focus. You're the one who goes through the arrival list and spends time on the details. Making sure that the guest's wishes are fulfilled. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution in your back pocket. You solve most problems and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied guest. Your workplace is our lobby. Because that's where you meet the most guests. Your responsibilities also include administrative work, security work and sales work. Front of House work involves checking guests in and out of the hotel, greeting them and giving them the information they need about their stay. You manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks around guests and security. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus. The hotel is open 24 hours a day and it is therefore important that you enjoy working in shifts (mornings, afternoons and weekends). Who are you? To fit the role, we believe that you have well-developed interpersonal skills and are able to handle many different things happening at the same time. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel guests. You also have experience and knowledge of working with a computer as a tool. Since the work largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage. Most importantly, however, are your personal qualities and attitude. To fit the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
