Logistics Manager at ShoreLink in Piteå

About ShoreLink

At ShoreLink, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of logistics. We are a key player in Sweden’s four northernmost ports and offer comprehensive logistics services—from cargo handling and transportation to ship clearance and freight forwarding.

With safety as our top priority, we grow our business through sound business decisions, new technology, and smarter ways of working. We aim to be an increasingly value-adding partner that understands our customers’ needs, solves their challenges, and grows together with and for our customers and employees. Our values—Innovation, Care, and Responsibility—guide us in our daily work and are reflected in how we act, collaborate, and make decisions.

Every day, we help drive the industry forward with the goal of becoming Sweden’s most productive and sustainable port operator by 2030.

Would you like to lead and develop the logistics of the future together with us?

We are looking for a Logistics Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for our logistics flows in Piteå and develop both our operations and our employees.

Here, you’ll combine hands-on, coaching-style leadership with a focus on efficient flows, quality, and customer value. You’ll work closely with day-to-day operations while driving development toward smarter work methods and continuous improvement.

The role is based in Piteå, and you’ll report to the Site Manager.

About the Role

As Logistics Manager, you will lead, plan, and develop logistics operations and ensure efficient and secure workflows—from incoming goods and warehouse management to documentation, planning, and delivery.

You will lead and develop your team members and create the conditions for good collaboration, accountability, and commitment. Together with the team, you drive improvements in processes, procedures, and work methods, with safety, the work environment, and quality as the foundation.

An important part of the role is also understanding our customers’ operations and needs so that, together, we can develop effective logistics solutions and create long-term value.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • leading, coaching, and developing employees within the logistics operations
  • planning, monitoring, and developing logistics and freight flows
  • ensure quality in the handling of incoming and outgoing goods
  • ensure the correct handling of bookings as well as export and import documentation
  • monitor inventory, stock takings, and reconciliations
  • Drive improvements in processes, procedures, and work methods
  • Develop collaboration with customers and other internal and external partners
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment with high-quality service delivery.

Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who enjoys combining leadership with business development and who wants to be closely involved with both people and day-to-day operations.

As a leader, you’re clear, committed, and inclusive. You foster a sense of involvement, help people grow, and are confident in making decisions. You are organized, responsible, and maintain a big-picture perspective even when the pace is fast.

You are also curious and solution-oriented, see opportunities for improvement, and find it easy to build strong relationships with employees, customers, and business partners alike.

We believe you have:

  • experience leading and developing employees
  • experience in logistics, manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, ports, or similar operations
  • a solid understanding of logistics flows and operational planning
  • experience with improvement and development initiatives
  • relevant education and/or equivalent work experience
  • strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate easily.

We offer you:

  • a broad and varied managerial role with the opportunity to influence and develop our logistics operations
  • the opportunity to develop work methods, processes, and logistics flows
  • close collaboration with employees, colleagues, and customers
  • a growing organization where your ideas and expertise can make a difference
  • dedicated and supportive colleagues
  • collective bargaining agreement, wellness allowance, and attractive benefits

Employment Type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period

Work Environment: Safety and well-being are our top priorities

Diversity: We value different perspectives and experiences. We welcome applicants who can contribute to our continued development.
